An Australian Pelican feast that lasted more than two decades

Why are you so focused? It turned out that the pelicans were all waiting to eat fish with their heads up, hahahaha! In the Central Coast area north of Sydney, there is a beautiful and famous town called The Entrance, which has the title of "Australian Pelican Capital". What makes a town so honored? The reason is these cute toucans.

Every afternoon, the pelicans fly here from near and far, and there are no obstacles 365 days a year. As soon as 3:30, a staff member will push a large box full of fish to the small square where the pelicans gather, and the pelicans have long been eager to wait.

This white-haired grandpa came to feed today. I saw the grandfather skillfully put on rubber gloves, while taking a fish out of the box and throwing it at the pelican, he interacted with the onlookers and introduced the knowledge of the pelican. The noise of the pelicans competing for the fish and the exclamation of the onlookers crowded into one, the atmosphere was warm.

A clever pelican sneaked into the box holding the fish while the grandfather didn't notice. After being discovered by the grandfather, he rebuked a few times, and had to stand obediently waiting for the grandfather to feed. The scene was too warm. . In order to please the audience, the grandfather occasionally threw fish near the auditorium, and the pelicans would stretch out their mouths and rush to grab the food. The audience close to them was frightened and laughed.

Some children see the big pelican, they are both loved and scared, they want to touch the big bird, they will be scared by the big bird's interaction, cover their faces, scream in surprise, and attract a burst of laughter from the adults. The pelicans are really cute and not afraid of people. They also like to walk around in front of the audience, just like the generals of the inspection team.

Before the fish in the old grandfather's hand was thrown out, the pelican hiding behind him bit his whole hand with his big mouth. The audience was screaming again and again. The grandfather did not blame him. He told the pelican that he had something to say, and could not steal food from behind. The scene was so warm. You can observe the condition of the pelican when feeding it. Sometimes the pelican will be entangled with fishing hooks or fishing lines. If you find it, you can help them get rid of these deadly things.

Feeding the pelicans only lasts for just 30 minutes every day, and a few large boxes of fish are fed in a while. The pelican spent a happy time with tourists, both the pelican and the audience seemed to be overwhelmed. Watching Australia's largest birds at such a close distance is really fun.

Speaking of the cause of feeding the pelican started from decades ago. At that time, the boys who worked in a fish and chips shop would feed the pelican with fish and shrimp that could not be sold in the shop every day after work. Later, the store was bought by another owner and renamed Jimbo Seafood, and continued to feed the remaining fish and shrimp to the pelican every day.

So in the pelican world, they passed around ten times, and at the same time every day, they swayed across the road to "request" fish and shrimp to eat. 1996
In 1949, the town simply built a pelican square by the lake, and instead fed pelicans in the pelican square. From then on, 365 days a year, the town will have a certain amount of fresh fish to feed the pelicans, and the time is fixed at 3:30 pm.

The pelican feeding scene is spectacular and magical, and the town is also famous for this. Hundreds of thousands of tourists come here every year to see the pelican feeding scene. The wealth brought to the town is given back to these lovely ones. Toucan. In this way, The Entrance Town has become Australia's famous Internet celebrity.
